Mikhail Reva held a meeting with the 10th grade students at his studio. The Artist had been asked the following questions by a new generation of Ukrainians:
- In one of your interviews, you said that art should speak in a whisper. What kind of language is this? Should art not be bright and noticeable? Or is it something that speaks the language of the soul?
- Do you think art (sculpture) can heal? Can it help to overcome difficult situations? Do you have examples of such healing? What should art be like to have the ability to heal? Does it necessarily have to carry positive energy? Light, kind energy?
- Do you consider yourself an innovator? Is there something that no one has used in sculpture before you? What exactly?
- Do you think that art should be accessible? Understandable? Is your work like that? Is it something that the young generation would be interested in?
- Do you have a dream related to your creative work? If you had unlimited possibilities, what project would you carry out?
After the visit we have received such reviews:
Kolganova Diana, 15 years old:
"This meeting was initially part of my work for me, but it turned into something I couldn't have expected. When I saw Mikhail, talked to him, and visited his workshop - I was in complete awe. I'm grateful to fate that I could meet such a wonderful person, who is absolutely simple and soulful. After a short time of communicating with him, I felt as if we had known each other for a very long time. Mikhail's aura is only positive and honest. As for his works and creativity - I have no words! I have never seen such deep history and meaning in works! Everything is incredibly well thought out in all senses. This talent, work, and all his soul invested in each work - give an extraordinary result. Special thanks to Mikhail Reva for being able to dedicate time to us for this incredible meeting. And I really hope that it wasn't the last one. I'm really looking forward to the next meeting because with such a person - you want to communicate forever."
Golubenko Yulia, 15 years old:
"I want to thank Mikhail Vladimirovich Reva for such a warm, sincere reception. I received a sea of pleasure and positive emotions. This meeting impressed me with incredible sculptures, interesting stories, conclusions, and advice. This day made me turn to my inner "I" and ponder philosophical questions, expand the boundaries in which I was. To understand that art and creative approach to things are incredible tools that make life brighter and more interesting. Thank you very much!"
Prozorovskaya Diana, 15 years old:
"When you enter Mikhail Reva's workshop, you immediately feel the creative atmosphere - the space breathes inspiration and energy. Everywhere there are works in different stages of creation: from small sketches to grand sculptures. The attention to detail is striking - every line, shape, and texture lives its own life. The aesthetics of the workshop is a harmony between chaos and order: tools, pieces of metal, plaster, sketches, but all this looks like an organic part of the artistic process. Such a space inspires with its liveliness and real touch to art. I'm grateful that we were received very warmly. I admire such talent!"
Lozova Oleksandra, 15 years old:
"It was incredible! Confidence, love for what you do, understanding of all details, respect for creativity and the ability to use it successfully, all this is in one incredible person who knows how to dream. Mikhail Reva is a person who has created hundreds of sculptures and monuments that will never be forgotten, thank you for the opportunity to see and hear from you about your creativity!"
Kogutenko Elizaveta, 15 years old:
"Today I had a meeting with Mikhail Reva. I'm very impressed by this meeting, this person is probably one of the most beautiful people I had the opportunity to talk to and learn a little more about. He showed us his sculptures and told us about each of them separately. I don't even know where to start, probably with the fact that in my opinion he doesn't have the same worldview as an ordinary person. We can see this in his creations. Also, this person, besides being a very cool architect, most importantly remains a human being despite his fame and high earnings. He is very sincere and kind. Why do I say so, because many people who have become millionaires forget about humanity and goodness. And we laughed with Mikhail Vladimirovich and talked about very serious topics. Most of all, I liked that he told how he stayed in Mexico for three months. Also, he was almost attacked by Indians from the Maya tribe, but he was very lucky. Overall, I was very happy to meet a person who makes such a great contribution to Odessa's recognition throughout the world."
Tkalenko Khrystyna, 15 years old:
"Mikhail Reva turned out to be an extremely open person, easy and pleasant to communicate with. His sincerity immediately created an atmosphere of trust that encouraged listening and learning more. I was especially impressed by his stories about life and the stories of creating sculptures. The most memorable were the stories about Mexico, where the artist used improvised materials to create sculptures that made a strong impression on local residents. The meeting made a great impression on me, and I'm glad that I was able to meet Mikhail Reva."
Sakhno Alisa, 15 years old:
"I incredibly liked the master class of Mikhail Vladimirovich Reva. When I entered his building and workshop, I immediately saw many interesting sculptures, and each of them has its own story, which is very interesting. I liked the sculpture of a heart with nails the most. This sculpture has quite a deep meaning. I was also interested in a sculpture made from a petrified coconut that is 250 million years old. It's very funny that if you sit with your back to the back of the chair, it will serve as a chair, and if you face the back, it will be a bicycle. In fact, all the sculptures are very beautiful and interesting, and they are all different. Mikhail Vladimirovich Reva is a very cool person, he is incredibly talented, he invents things that others have not invented yet, and all his works are unique and no one else has such. I'm incredibly glad that we had the opportunity to meet and talk with such a wonderful person."
