The fountain "The Origin of Inception" is already an implemented part of the project in the Greek Park, Odessa, which organically fits the great ensemble of the city, thus creating a plastic dialogue. The fountain sculpture has been crafted upon the motif of the Biblical theme about the Creation of a Man on the sixth day of the Creation. Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. The fountain displays the heads of a man and a woman as a compound of two beginnings. 'This is He and She. This is the inception of everything. This is the origin of the Universe. «At the dawn of mankind, God established marriage as a permanent life union between a man and a woman. He blessed and secured it with the closest bonds: they shall become one flesh.
A philosophy behind the concept of this art object: The faces of Adam and Eve are the halves to make an entity, the difference between them is minimal: a striking smile on the woman's face and a сharming Horus lock on the man’s one. The Devil has always been hidden in the little things, so one can notice the cunning Serpent plaited into the Horus lock. Adam and Eve's heads are crowned with olive branches, whereas four troughs carry water to wash their shapes. Water as an element permanently appears in the Biblical creation. Eden gave a start of the river to sprinkle Paradise and then it splits into four rivers: Pishon, Gihon, Hiddekel, Euphrates.
The sculptor deliberately places emphasis on the heads of his characters. Since ancient times the head along with the heart was regarded the main part of the body, where lifeblood and soul are located. An olive tree was considered a forerunner of all trees and a symbol of life, but perhaps the most important symbols of olives are hope, peace and forgiveness. The olive tree was the first to appear after the Flood, and so its branch became the news of peace between God and a human.
The sculpture "The Origin of Inception" was cast in bronze and covered with patina. It can be seen from Primorskiy Boulevard. "The mission of sculpture is crucial" said the author, "it's something which passes through time and shapes the views of other generations." According to the author, he tried to combine classical and contemporary forms in this work. Such organic forms as wood trunks, fruits and parts of a human body are often traced in its symbolism.
